An £8m project that will transform facilities at Homefield Preparatory School in Surrey is on track to complete this summer.
Following the demolition of a standalone building, Diamond Build PLC is currently installing an all-weather sports pitch as part of the third and final phase of works. This follows the completion of a new building in May 2022 which is home to a reception area and administration offices.
Forming part of the school’s 150-year celebrations, the project has also seen Diamond Build PLC construct a high-specification building featuring 14 classrooms, and create a new performance hall and dining facility at the front of the school. To enhance the school’s environmental credentials, solar power, low-energy underfloor heating and a green roof have been installed.
Diamond Build’s Project Manager, Michael Celoro, said: “It’s fantastic to see the final stages of this impressive redevelopment take shape. The new facilities are providing an excellent learning environment for pupils and staff with larger classrooms, modern equipment and enhanced heating and ventilation.
“With the construction programme on track, we’re looking forward to the final handover and completing a project that everyone should be really proud of.”
Based in Sutton, Homefield is an independent day school for boys aged 4 – 13 years.
