Diamond Build PLC has been named as a successful bidder appointed to a new £5.16bn residential delivery and development framework provided by Southern Construction Framework (SCF).
SCF is a leading construction procurement framework delivered by the public sector for the public sector in the South of England.
SCF Residential is a four-year framework available to all public bodies in London, the South West and South East. Designed to respond to industry pressures, it will enable public sector organisations to access a full range of residential construction and development solutions. A commitment to provide a trustworthy, equitable, and ethical delivery vehicle underpins the framework.
Ben Causer, Pre-construction Director at Diamond Build PLC said: “Our appointment to this significant new framework reflects our specialist knowledge and experience of both the public sector and residential construction.
“We’re looking forward to the opportunity to partner with diverse organisations focused on delivering high-quality residential developments with a focus on innovation, sustainability and efficiency. “
SCF Residential will be tailored to suit a wide range of projects, including:
Larger value projects (65+ Units) – delivered in three sublots (SW, SE, London).
Smaller Value (10-75 Units) – delivered in seven sublot regions, focused on local delivery.
SCF is the market leader in Two Stage Open Book (2SOB) tendering, under which the framework will operate exclusively. This Government-recommended bidding process is part of an initiative to reform UK construction practices and is unique in the way it brings the contractor, stakeholders and suppliers together at the very start of a construction project.
Matthew Elliott, SCF Senior Framework Manager said: “The successful bidders offer public sector organisations a fantastic breadth of experience and expertise ideally tuned to the needs of the current housing market. We have built this framework around our ethos and practice of collaboration, transparency and added value, with a focus on social value and supporting carbon and environmental impacts.”
This new deal complements the current SCF Construct and SCF Consult frameworks which have delivered over £7 billion worth of combined construction schemes in the last 14 years since they were first established.
