Investors in People has awarded Diamond Build Group the ‘We invest in apprentices’ gold accreditation.

The achievement follows an independent assessment, including interviews with Diamond Build Group’s apprentices and leadership team. The Group’s commitment to developing its apprentices, clear channels of communication, and high levels of support were all recognised. Diamond Education Service were closely involved in the IIP Apprentices assessment process and are proud of the achievements of the Group Apprentices and the company leadership and management, going straight to ‘gold’ is a well deserved reward for everyone’s hard work.

Diamond Build Group’s apprenticeship and trainee scheme has been running for more than four decades with the current cohort comprising eight apprentices and three graduate trainees. Training is offered at all levels and across a variety of roles, including quantity surveying, site management, estimating, bids and marketing, and multi-trade apprenticeships.

John Gray, Chairman of Diamond Build Group, said: “As someone who benefited significantly from early training in my career, I’m passionate about providing the same opportunities to others. This has seen us invest in apprentices since I founded the Diamond Build Group in 1977.

“The time apprentices spend with our company is incredibly valuable and brings our teams to life. We make sure everyone has the skills, knowledge and experience to succeed in their role and build a strong career path.

“Achieving the ‘We invest in apprentices’ gold accreditation is a fantastic achievement and testament to our long-term commitment to training and education for people of all ages.”

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, added: “We’d like to congratulate Diamond Build Group for being accredited. We invest in apprentices is a remarkable effort for any organisation and places the Group in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of delivering high quality apprenticeships.”

Investors in People was commissioned by the Department for Education to create the ‘We invest in apprentices’ framework in late 2018. Its aim is to help UK organisations consistently deliver high quality apprenticeships with a focus on development, communication and support.

Diamond Build Group’s ‘We invest in apprentices’ gold accreditation adds to its Investors in People gold accreditation and is valid for three years.
