Diamond Build Group has been selected to join Fusion21’s Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the Youth Investment Fund (YIF).
The YIF comprises more than £300m of capital and revenue grants, funded by the UK Government. The fund is being delivered by Social Investment Business, in partnership with the National Youth Agency, Key Fund and Resonance to improve young people’s health and wellbeing. Fusion21 is the YIF procurement partner.
With a total value of £100m, the DPS complements Fusion21’s existing YIF Framework, which provides construction services to improve, refurbish and alter buildings for youth facilities and services.
The DPS will enable local contractors to be procured quickly and effectively for projects across both occupied and empty buildings. The scope of works includes repairs, improvements, decoration, and minor re-modelling, ensuring properties are brought up to modern standards and are fit for purpose.
Natalya Tonkins, Director at Diamond Build Group, said: “We are pleased to have another opportunity to work with Fusion21 and its members. The YIF is playing a crucial role in supporting young people, providing them with the opportunity to improve their skills, keep active and enhance their mental health. We look forward to playing a part in meeting the aims of the YIF by upgrading buildings that help young people to thrive.
As well as being a supplier on Fusion21’s DPS for the YIF, Diamond Build Group has secured places on three frameworks developed by the procurement organisation. These include the Refurbishment, Construction, New Build and Modular Buildings Framework, a £250m framework dedicated to repairs in the social housing sector, and its national Building Safety and Compliance Framework.
