Diamond Build Group has launched a specialist team to help local authorities deliver repairs and void work faster and more efficiently.
Led by Director, Reuben Hayes, and made up of a team of multi-trade operatives, the new Housing Disrepairs division will work across London.
Haringey Council is the first local authority to instruct the team for an anticipated £2m of works focusing on voids and housing repairs across the borough. Diamond Build will carry out small scale repairs as well as larger refurbishments, enabling empty homes to be quickly brought up to a lettable standard.
Reuben Hayes said: “When tackling disrepairs and empty homes, speed is of the essence. We were seeing an increase in demand for these works and decided to invest further in a highly skilled multi-trades team to purely focus on this type of project. The team will rectify defects and deliver a wide range of much needed repairs and renovations for our clients.
“As public sector specialists, we have the experience and resources to make sure social housing providers and their residents receive a prompt, high quality service. We also have the expertise and knowledge to manage works in occupied homes, minimising any disruption for residents.”
Diamond Build’s Housing Disrepairs department has established a dedicated project management team in addition to 10 new dedicated multi-trade operatives, with plans to continue growing the team over the next six months.
Continued Reuben: “We have already begun work with Haringey Council and know there are other local authorities seeking to ramp up their repairs and maintenance programmes.
“We’re keen to hear from multi-trade operatives who are interested in joining our growing team to help us partner with more councils as part of their refurbishment programmes, ensuring residents have safe and comfortable homes.”
