Diamond Build PLC is approaching the final stages of construction of a £28m mixed-use development in Tottenham.
Park North, the residential part of the scheme, is on track to achieve practical completion by 31 January 2023. Located in Stamford Road, the development comprises 48 new homes, including apartments and duplex houses ranging from one to four bedrooms. A total of 22 have already been sold with the first residents expected to start moving in next year.
A total of 13,000 sq ft of office space is being built on the development’s ground floor, which is due to be completed by April 2023. One half will become Diamond Build Group’s head office and the other half offered to local Haringey businesses at affordable rent.
The purpose-built office will provide open-plan accommodation for all employees at Diamond Build PLC, Diamond Special Works and Diamond Fire Safety. Designed for comfort and flexibility, the space includes soft seating, break-out areas, and sound-proofed booths for informal meetings.
Local start-up businesses will have the option to rent individual desk space at 50% affordable rent for the next 10 years. A total of four private offices are available to lease with a separate entrance, reception, kitchen, toilets, and meeting rooms.
Paul Brooks, Service Support Director of Diamond Build Group, said: “As we enter the final stages of the build, we’re really looking forward to welcoming residents to Park North and moving into our brand new headquarters.
“Our Group has been based in Tottenham for four decades and our new accommodation will secure our future in the area. The fit out has been designed to emulate home comforts and provide a comfortable and collaborative space that better meets the needs of our growing team.
“We’re also confident that the office design will quickly attract local businesses seeking to take advantage of the development’s great location and high quality, yet affordable space.”
The Stamford Road development features four blocks ranging from three to six storeys, surrounding a central courtyard. Solar panels, air source heat pumps and highly effective insulation are being installed to reduce carbon emissions below those required by Building Regulations. Green roofs and bird boxes also feature along with additional planting on the first-floor podium to create a light, open feel at the centre of the residential part of the development.
