Diamond Build PLC has welcomed two trainees to its growing team. Tahir Akthar and Stanford Gezi will be working towards a degree in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management at the University of Westminster while gaining practical experience.
Accredited Gold by Investors in People, Diamond Build has been offering trainee and apprenticeships for more than four decades. Opportunities are offered to people at all ages and levels.
Speaking about his new role, Stanford said: “I’m really looking forward to supporting projects that support local communities and make a difference. As a trainee surveyor, I can get involved in developments from start to finish and as no two jobs are the same, it’s an exciting and challenging role.
“Diamond Build is a company with strong values and that’s what attracted me to this opportunity. The team is committed to helping students progress and provides all the support you need to succeed.”
Explaining why he wanted to train at Diamond Build, Tahir commented: “Being part of the Diamond Build team means I can practice what I learn at University and reinforce my knowledge. As an SME, the company offers trainees the chance to learn about all aspects of construction ranging from management and finance through to physically building on site.
“I’m looking forward to learning something new every day, understanding construction projects inside out, and progressing to a stage where my input could make a significant difference to developments across the public sector.”
