Two key milestones have been reached in the construction of a £28m mixed-used scheme in Stamford Road, Tottenham. The development, which is being built by Diamond Build PLC, has reached its highest point and the first show home is ready to be launched on 28 May 2022.

Spanning 51,000 sq ft, the scheme will provide space for Diamond Build Group’s head office and for local businesses at affordable rent. The residential element, named Park North, will offer 48 new homes, including apartments and duplex houses ranging from one to four bedrooms. The majority will be available through the Government’s Help to Buy Scheme.

Launching at an invite-only event in Seven Sisters, the two-bedroom show apartment will showcase the contemporary design of the new homes and how they can meet the demand for flexible living, excellent transport links, IT and media access, open space and high-quality private areas and security.

John Gray, Chairman of Diamond Build Group, said: “I founded Diamond Build more than 40 years ago and we’ve been based in Tottenham ever since. This new development marks the beginning of our next chapter in the borough, so it’s fantastic to see it rapidly taking shape.

“As a business, we’re proud to be building our own office and a scheme which will not only benefit our Group, but the wider community. The whole team is really looking forward to moving into office accommodation which better meets our needs and ensures we can stay in the area.

“The completion of the show home is another major step forward. We can’t wait to open the doors and provide local people with a taster of the quality and space on offer.”

The Stamford Road development features four blocks ranging from three to six storeys, surrounding a central courtyard. The office space will be located on the ground floor, half of which will be used as Diamond Build Group’s headquarters and the remainder for local businesses, nominated by the local council.

Sustainability is at the heart of the development to reduce its environmental impact and energy use. Solar panels, air source heat pumps and highly effective insulation are being installed to reduce carbon emissions below those required by Building Regulations. Green roofs and bird boxes will also feature along with additional planting on the first-floor podium to create a light, open feel at the centre of the residential part of the development.
