We worked closely with Public Health England to successfully complete the extensive remodelling of their multi-storey open-plan head office, which remained fully occupied and operational throughout the works. Securely segregating each area within the scope, we replaced existing partitions with solid and double-glazed frameless glass systems to form new offices and meeting areas. We also installed new suspended ceilings and acoustic barriers within the voids.

We enjoyed strong teamworking and communications with the Client Representatives, and before the contract began, we provided full details of construction methods and a site disruption assessment. This minimised risks to health and safety, and greatly assisted in the delivery of the contract within cost and on programme.

  • Our scope of works included the installation of:
  • New state of the art offices with associated IT facilities.
  • New Health Marketing desks and an open plan space between the Scrum Area and the FCD digital
    desks.
  • Upgraded air-conditioning systems and luminaires.
  • Structured cabling, fire detection alarm systems, and a radio / PA system.

Our Resident Liaison Officer kept office staff and Residential / commercial neighbours fully consulted throughout the project, implementing detailed logistics and traffic management plans. The building was occupied during the works, and the site’s restricted access on an inner-city site required pre-start consultations and plans. These included a site safe working/progression demarcation strategy for the movement of materials and equipment and accompanying safe access/egress routes for Operatives. Detailed instructions for “Just in Time” deliveries accompanied our orders to key suppliers, and waste was stored temporarily before disposal daily.
